Voice of the Park is on the air!

Voice of the Park can be heard on Nokia's N80 and N91 cell phones, and 770 Internet Tablets in the New York City Parks. We are a proud participant of Nokia's ParkCast project, which provides local and national content over free WiFi Internet service inside New York's beautiful parks. To listen to Voice of the Park, take your WiFi-enabled Nokia device into Central Park, press ParkCast, then Channels, and click on the Voice of the Park logo.

Voice of the Park aims to connect with New Yorkers by working with local talent, soliciting the advice of community leaders, and discussing events and services useful to people who use the parks and live in the city.

We are happy to announce the inauguration of
Central Park Jazz, our first ParkCast station.

Voice of the Park: Central Park Jazz celebrates the deep connection between New York and Jazz. Home to some of the most famous Jazz clubs in the world, New York has been identified with this quintessentially American musical form since its birth. Central Park Jazz features Jazz music of all kinds, for those well acquainted with it and newcomers alike. From the 30s to today, Monk to Miles, Latin to Hard Bop, Central Park Jazz has something for every cat in the park.

By teaming up with Nokia and its other partners - CBS Radio, AM New York, and The New York Times - Voice of the Park is able to help people untether themselves from their computers while retaining access to great music and information.

Voice of the Park is produced by Location Based Media.
